Faculty and Staff can download the latest version of SPSS Premium on their SPU computers by opening the Software Center application. For users who already had SPSS installed, you were automatically upgraded to the latest version.
SPSS Statistics obtained from the SPU download center is SPSS Statistics Standard, which has a limited feature set. Analysis tools such as Missing Value Analysis, Multiple Imputation, and Complex Samples are not available on SPSS Statistics Standard edition. In order to properly license IBM SPSS for home devices, you will need to contact the LTS Help Desk. Please call 715-836-5711 or email helpdesk@uwec.edu stating that you are downloading IBM SPSS for home use and that you need a license key to do so.
Licensing:SPSS is made available for staff home use and student use on computers owned by Murdoch University. Staff must agree agree to the terms of the agreement displayed on the download page.

For Faculty and Research Staff, there are two different licensed versions of SPSS offered, a Network Licensing version and a Site License Standalone/Home Use version. Each version has slightly different advantages/disadvantages as well as differing download methods.

Students, faculty and staff may activate a license of SPSS by connecting the the Palo Alto GlobalProtect VPN (Windows or Mac) and ensuring that the License Authorization Wizard is set to 'Concurrent User' and entering in spss.du.edu as the license server. Please follow the instructions for installing the Palo Alto GlobalProtect VPN (Windows or Mac) .
To use SPSS from home, ensure you are connected to the Palo Alto GlobalProtect VPN (Windows or Mac) and that within the SPSS License authorization Wizard, your license is set to 'Concurrent' and the license manager is spss.du.edu.
Notice that there is also syntax printed above the descriptive statistics in the output**. The syntax provides a text-based map of the command we just ran using drop-down menus. If we had executed this syntax in a Syntax Editor window instead, we would get the exact same results as we did using the drop-down menu.
If you are a Qualtrics user and have downloaded your "raw" survey data in SPSS format, using syntax to modify variable labels or compute new variables means that you don't have to worry if you lose the SPSS data file you've been working in; you can just re-download the raw data from Qualtrics and rerun your syntax to get your data back.
